Premium Funding
Pupil Premium
The Pupil Premium is calculated on the number of children who have been on free school meals at any time during the previous 6 years of education, those who are in the care of a local authority and those who are from families who are part of the Armed Forces. To check whether your child is eligible for Free School Meals please contact the school to speak to Mrs Williamson in the School Office.
The Pupil Premium money we receive is used to to raise the attainment and achievement of pupils so that children make at least expected progress and close the gap enabling pupils to reach age-related expectations through:
-
Provision to raise literacy and numeracy levels
-
Access to enrichment activities – trips and extra-curricular activities

Sports Premium
The Government is providing funding of £150 million per annum for academic years to provide new, substantial primary school sport funding. This funding is being jointly provided by the Departments for Education, Health and Culture, Media and Sport, and will see money going directly to primary school headteachers to spend on improving the quality of sport and PE for all their children. The funding amount schools receive is based upon the number of children of primary age the school has at January of that year. The sport premium is to be used to increase the quality and breadth of PE and Sport provision, and increasing participation in PE and Sport.
